I was told a long time ago by a publisher that "cute kids sell community papers."
The reporter gave me the breakout, and I pulled stock for the background.
I rely heavily on the "grey mold" overlay.
If I could do things different, I'd have
1) justified left on the single column story.
2) made the pull quote on the left skinnier (it jacked up my kerning), and
3) I would have found a better graphic for the daylight savings clock refer at the top.
