'Advance placement' deserves scrutiny

When I first read this column, my mind was blank as to how the centerpiece could be illustrated. The column is about how College Board makes a lot of money, even though it's slated as a non-profit organization. I noticed that the story had lots of potential for marge, so I read through it and collected anything that sounded interesting. Once I was finished, I noticed there was a theme with the marge I had compiled -- what students/the state pays for "advance placement" tests and what College Board profits out of all of it. I mean, the CEO makes more than $830 thousand a year, for Christ's sake! So I found a stock photo of a man in a suit with a pocket stuffed full of cash and grabbed a quote fromt the article that reinforced the theme.
