Jay Haas won this third Principal Charity Classic tournament, a Champions Tour event held in West Des Moines for the past 12 years. I went big with a photo and was able to dig up PDFs of our sports covers when he won in 2007 and 2008. The deep skyline was for the retirement of local gymnast Shawn Johnson, a 2008 Olympic gold medal winner.
