About me
Currently a News Artist working at The Philadelphia Inquirer, specializing in features and information page designs, news graphics, and an expanding role in multimedia production and design.
Prior to working in Philadelphia, she was Creative Director for CONCACAF, a confederation of FIFA, that governs the sport of soccer in North and Central America and The Caribbean.
She also worked for many years with the Associated Press at world headquarters in New York as an artist, graphics editor, and art director. She began her newspaper career in Wichita at The Eagle and Beacon right out of college.
While acquiring a BFA in Design with emphasis in photojournalism at Wichita State University, she worked at Stephan Advertising Agency and started a freelance photography and design career that she continues to this day.
Cynthia was born in Texas County, Oklahoma in the middle of a dust storm, and has lived in Wyoming, Colorado, Louisiana, Kansas, and New York City, as well as Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. Living in many regions of the United States, and having the opportunity to travel Europe and The Caribbean on assignments was inspired by her parents’ adventurous spirit and skill in observation.
She currently calls the Spring Garden neighborhood of Philadelphia home.
