About me

My name is Amelia Eramya and I'm currently a page designer for The Detroit News. My focus is mainly sports. Occasionally I'll design metro, business and features pages. I attended Central Michigan University for four years. While a student there, I became the Lead Designer for Central Michigan Life. I worked for the student-run newspaper for the majority of my time at CMU as a reporter, photographer and designer. I also worked on a literary magazine, The Central Review, and a consumers magazine for Dow Chemical Co., called IMPACT. I'm still growing as a designer and will continue to do so for the duration of my career. This is why I love graphic design and visual journalism — there is always room to grow. As a visual journalist, I feel it is important to pay attention to detail and constantly remain critical of your own work.
