About me
Howdy!
I am the communications director for Lyman-Richey Corporation, a concrete company in Omaha, Neb. In previous lives, I designed pages for the Omaha World-Herald and spent a year teaching news design at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with degrees in journalism and history.
I love all aspects of journalism, including reporting, photography, video, copy editing, etc. I am always looking for people to learn from.
Before the World-Herald, I interned at the Gering (Neb.) Courier; Lincoln (Neb.) Journal Star; Dallas Morning News (Dow Jones); and Variety Magazine (L.A.) - mostly in copy editing with some page design. I was the communications intern for the Nebraska United Methodist Conference, which included a redesign of their quarterly paper.
Summers ago I traveled to Bolivia to report/photo/video the cultural changes there as part of a depth reporting project for our school. I was the editor-in-chief and design editor for the magazine publication of that depth report.
