We had a graphic centerpiece ready to go, but when we got the story, we realized this quote was too good to not be out on the cover. In fact, we decided it was the best way to tell the story.
For our new section, Down the Shore, I turned the page on its side to showcase the outstanding photography of David M Warren, one of our staff photographers.
Our new section all about the shore! This was all about where to have breakfast, so instead of using traditional photos, we decided to go with a chalkboard menu approach.
This cover has a feature on Muncie Action Plan (a committee that aims to set town goals in motion). There was no art to go with it, so we decided a country road was the way to go, with MAP working in along the path.
