About me
I'm a veteran photojournalist and visual communicator, having served as a photojournalist, photo editor and team leader in a span of 28 years at The Virginian-Pilot. I'm also a psychologist, (Ph.D. in Applied Experimental Psychology) with interests in media psychology, human cognition, judgment & decision making, and social cognition. I also serve as an adjunct professor at colleges here in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area, teaching courses that include "Media Psychology." These are my photo editing portfolios. It's been great fun to blend both disciplines of being a visual journalist and psychologist as a hybrid professional.
