On Saturdays the theme for Life & Style is religion. This story was about an FBI agent who wrote a book about being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had serving as a bishop for his congregation for 15 of his 30 years in the FBI.
I knew we had some photos of handguns on file, and thought one would make the perfect "L" to go in LDS. With some coaching from executive editor Randy Wright we came up with this typographic treatment.
