We ran a Page One story on Friday about pets that were either separated from their owners or abandoned during Hurricane Harvey — they’ve been taken to a shelter at the NRG stadium complex. If they’re not claimed in 30 days, new homes will have to be found for them. Thirty days is up. Photographer Steve Gonzales shot a LOT more photos than we had room for in the Friday paper, so I used my Page Two space to collect some of the sad, sad puppy and kitty faces. I mean, really. How can you resist these? Hopefully, this sent folks to the stadium to adopt.
