FRONT PAGES
With us being short-handed and all, I filled in quite a bit during vacation season with Page One duty. I designed the front ten times over 18 days, including one stretch where I did it five times in six days. I don’t consider any of this to be notable work: Our format is tightly regimented here, so “designing page one” is more like babysitting. But I occasionally get in my shots. I think we run our art too small, so I’m always looking for ways to get it larger. I also look for ways to liven up our skyboxes. The only thing I’m really proud of in this set of ten pages: The big spoon at the upper right.
