In Part Two of our follow-the-molecule package, reporter Jordan Blum wrote about how ethane gas is “cracked” and eventually becomes plastic pellets that are shipped overseas. This was my graphic contribution to his story. I could find bits and pieces of reference around the web, but as far as I could tell, no one had done this diagram before. So there ya go.
