For the valentines day the editors decided to indicate places to go during different stages of a relationship, going from just met to happy or sad end. The challenge here was to illustrate the story without being too cheesy. I´ve choosen to take the minimalist path. I reminded of something i´ve read on Scott McCloud´s Understanding comics. Scott says that the more iconic is a character more the readers tend to project themselves and empathize with them. He calls it "masking effect". I decided to took this to the limit by using only basic shapes to represent the loving couple.
