Another Monday, another un-photographable topic for our weekly pro/con feature. This time, the topic was brackish groundwater. The scientists weren’t able to send us much for reference, so I figured I’d throw something together and then ask them to help us tweak it into shape. Somehow — I’m still not quite sure how — my first attempt passed muster with them. We played with the text a bit and added a bit about different levels of salinity. Breaking news pushed the story down page, cutting down on the number of inches of the dual stories by Sara Sneath that made it out front. In retrospect, we probably should have cut the subheads down to two decks each. Feb. 9, 2015.
