After taking a two-year break from college bowls, I dove back into the freelance market with my roundup grid of college football bowl season. I've been doing this page, off and on, since 1997, when I worked for the Chicago Tribune. The NCAA keeps adding bowl games and newspapers keep shrinking their pages, which makes this increasingly difficult to stuff into one page. This time around, eight papers bought my graphic, including Colorado Springs, Greeneville Tenn., Greenwood S.C., Shelby and Gastonia N.C., Carroll Iowa and Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. This particular sample is from Wisconsin Rapids. December 2012.
