Maplewood, Minn., Police Sgt. Joe Bergeron was shot in the line of duty Saturday, May 1, 2010, while St. Paul officer David Longbehn wrestlered and killed one of two suspects. First page was designed by Lauri Hopple. The Pioneer Press displayed the story from the shooting to the funeral.
