We are often guilty of taking an AP story, slapping it on the page, using the suggested headline and moving on. For this package, I combined three AP stories on gun control, including making one into an infobox featuring three countries' gun control profiles. This allowed me to fit in much more information -- and a broader range of coverage -- than running those three stories in their entirety would have.
