My former boss helped me visualize how to make this page work, and in the end, it won us a design award from the Florida Press Association. The story told of a series of plane crashes involving planes that all started or ended in Destin. I couldn't figure out how to choose which photo to use or how to cram in four. This is when I really began to understand that multiple pictures combined really can work as dominant art. With the map and infobox graphics, it looks -- and is -- information-packed.
