These two graphics were part of a larger project (print and interactive) I did about earthquakes in Indiana. I studied USGS data going back to the early 1800s to map earthquakes that have occurred in the New Madrid fault system. While my original intention was to inform people that earthquakes can happen in Indiana, my focus changed when we actually had an earthquake.
