30 DEC 06 » Just for fun, I thought I'd upload my first concept for the Saddam page. I don't think it lasted more than five seconds (and the various iterations I did only prolonged its death). The proof was even torn up (although in jest, it was explained. I remain dubious). I admit it's unorthodox. And yes, a reverse nameplate is a tough sell. And yes, the head is a bit small. And yes, these techniques may be more frequently employed in lifestyle sections. But man, if we're serious, really serious, about dragging eyes to our news racks, then is this design really that much of a stretch? How could I have improved this idea? How could I have sold this idea?
