It’s a hell of a cliché, but I had very short notice to build a Your Money page with reporter Taylor Tompkins’ story on Father’s Day gift giving. I chose the ugliest color combination I could find for the tie and then hung the story off of a nice headline treatment. The vertical story and vertical pullout box emphasized the verticality of the tie itself. June 14, 2015.
