Here's another one I've always wanted to do: Show the closest elections in U.S. history in terms of both popular vote and electoral vote. I was surprised when I counted up the figures: Five of the 16 closest have occurred in my lifetime, including three of the last four. What most folks might not know: George W. wasn't the first president to lose in the popular vote but still win the election. Three others did it before him. Nov. 8, 2015
