It’s the 50th anniversary of the auto accident in LA that nearly cost rock singer and producer Jan Berry his life. The weird part: Two years before, he had created a song about a stretch of road very near there. I knew the story about voice actor Mel Blanc but didn’t realize he was nearly killed himself in that same area. Fascinating stuff. I wish I had done this one in California.
