Can you believe it’s been a quarter-century since R.E.M. released its “Out of Time” album? (Yes, that’s the one that featured “Losing My Religion.”) I’ve been fascinated by this band ever since brushing by them a number of times during our time in Athens in the mid-1980s. I present some interesting facts about the album but use the bulk of my space showing all 15 R.E.M. albums — and one excellent EP — showing sales figures, highest chart positions and notable songs on each album.
