Our editorial page folks passed along word that the owner of the paper would love to see some kind of critical analysis of all the rumors and stories floating around the Benghazi "scandal." I agreed to take it on, although I was under a pretty strong opinion that no matter what I wrote, critics of the Obama administration would disapprove strongly. I spent the better part of two days reading every story on Benghazi I could find, writing my blurbs, rewriting them and trying to find the best way to present everything.. My gracious colleagues on the A desk and elsewhere around the paper pitched in to make suggestions, pitch tweaks and point out updates to stories. I'm proud of the result and I'm grateful to my teammates for all the help and the moral support on this one. May 17, 2013.
