I ended my "downtime" with this great piece researched and originally published online by my friends at the Boston Globe. It had to be reworked quite a bit for print and for what's become my in-house style, but Chiqui Esteban and Patrick Garvin already had the info organized in table form. One of the columns I had to leave out: What type of gun was used in each incident. Every mass shooting is horrific, of course, but it's fascinating to see Newtown and Virginia Tech in perspective like this. Sept. 30, 2013.
