One of the better astronomy-related pieces I've done so far. A story moved on the wire about the International Astronomical Union naming Pluto's moons. I didn't care for the story, but it gave me the thought: How many moons do we have these days? I recall when I was a kid, there were 32 moons in our solar system. The answer: 146 officially, with another 25 awaiting official recognition from the IAU. A list of all of them runs down the right side of the page while the bulk of the page looks at eight of the most notable moons in the solar system. A lot of fun to research and build and -- I hope -- to read. July 10, 2013.
