After all the press Google's new Person Finder web effort got after the Boston Marathon bombings and then again, briefly, after the Oklahoma City tornado, my pal Chris Soprych suggested I do something on this feature and how it works. I broadened the topic just a bit and then wrote a sidebar with more general tips for families. The local emergency preparedness people spotted this in the paper and called me for another story idea. Which ran eight days later. May 30, 2013.
