Sunday was the 100th birthday of George Reeves, who played Superman in the old 1950s TV show and who shot himself after he found he had been typecast by Hollywood. In addition, both of the men who created the character would have turned 100 later this year. I took the opportunity to run quick thumbnails of all three and to show the Superman character as originally designed -- he was a villain and looked a lot like what later became Lex Luthor.
