Focus: The Yom Kippur War

I wanted to tell the story of the war, but in building my intro and timeline, I found that most of the sources available are slanted heavily toward Israel. I wanted to build something not slanted AGAINST Israel, but definitely even-handed. It took me a while to pull all this together, but I thought the results were worth it. Israel eventually won, but this put enough of a scare in the country that it was open to talks with Egypt. That openness led to the Camp David Accords and peace that, for the most part, lasts to this day. In particular, I liked including the new bit about Egypt's Hosni Mubarak claiming he had started the war himself. Oct. 4, 2013.
