An infographic about the new EU-supported program of surveillance of the southern sea borders named Triton, which replaced the old italian program of patrolling ships (Mare Nostrum), involving several countries and reorganizing the available resources in terms of soldiers, ships, airplanes and helicopters.
Triton raised many criticism due to its inability to reach and help recent wreckages of migrants scattered all around the Mediterranean sea, particularly after the disappear of several rubber boats and the death of 29 migrants by cold.
