Rip Curl Pro
During April, some of the world’s best surfers including Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Layne Beachley and Stephanie Gilmore converged on our Bell’s Beach for the 2009 Rip Curl Pro. The event is the second stop on the Association of Surfing Professionals World Tour.
Our readers enjoy the beach life and for many, surfing is a lifestyle. This year, 50% of people attending the event came from within 100km’s of the event (Bells Beach)
Our alignment with the Rip Curl Pro ensured our brand married the biggest international sporting event in our region. And, we set out to bring our readers and surfing fans as close as possible to all the action with exclusive promotions and complete event coverage in and out of the water.
