Front page of the Oct. 29th issue of the Ball State Daily News. The package story is about how Muncie is one of the most moderate towns in the U.S. To show this I have red(right), blue(left) and white(centrist) figures surrounding the package.
I wanted to make sure not use purple. Purple, to me, would've been the easy solution. It would crowd the package with too many solid figures. Also, purple, as a color, didn't create the right feel I wanted for the page.
