I had all the local river streamflow data and had been trying to find a place where I could use it as early as Saturday. I couldn’t get space for it anywhere in the paper. Out of frustration, I made room for it on Page Two. This turned out to be pretty good timing: It was apparent, now, that several rivers would set new flooding records. I didn’t have room for every gauge on every river. My one big regret: I chose to omit the San Bernard River. That one caused a lot of problems. Again, I kept a box of utility links across the bottom.
