For this Page Two, I was given an AP survey story that seemed bit long to me. I groped around for some art that I could use — When we converted this one to black-and-white, it picked up an eerie x-ray-like glow… which delighted me. I backtracked to the original survey to find some data I could pull out into a bar chart. At the last minute, 42 was released from the hospital, so I held a story and stripped that in down page.
