We’ve been trying to make our daily Page Two a bit more visual. What we’ve been running into: Stories that aren’t exactly short, which gives us precious little space to catch the reader’s eye. Each of the three visuals here works fine on its own. But they’re all overwhelmed by grey copy. After this one, I began to gravitate toward two-story presentations. I’m not sure who wrote the Willie Nelson headline. I wish I had thought of it.
