Right before the release of "The Guardian," a Kevin Costner film about Coast Guard swimmers, a writer took local Navy swimmers to the film’s press screening to get their reactions. I pitched a chart gauging their opinions on the movie’s accuracy. During the screening, I wrote down every minute marker for every scene. I worked with the swimmers to accurately opinions, and then wrote the text so as to not spoil the movie for readers.
