What you think you might know about dinosaurs might not necessarily be true -- scientists have made lots of mistakes over the years regarding the terrible lizards and, on occasion, have been duped by hoaxes. The peg here was the 15th anniversary of a press conference by National Geographic, announcing a new fossil. A year later, the magazine had to admit it was a fake. I retold the story and augmented it with five other missteps. A fun read, but I can't help but think I wimped out somehow with the art.
