North gave me the breakout-boxes with information about each of the exchange students, and I'd searched for public domain graphics only to come up short.
WikiMedia had the country graphics with the flags overlayed, but it didn't quite work the way I'd wanted it to, so I went in and used my grabber in photoshop to select the layer, the super-impose it onto the flags. The graphic took a few hours to build and perfect, but by the time I sent it to press, I felt I was serving my readers in the rural Nebraska communities with a handy geography lesson.
