Chronicle columnist Ken Hoffman wrote a 20-question “Star Wars” trivia quiz to kick off our extensive coverage of the upcoming movie. I’m fairly anxious about my (lack of) illustration skills, yet I accepted the challenge to make this one happen. My aim was to get as close to the kind of feel my pal Martin Gee gets with his minimalist-style “Star Wars” illos. As it turns out, I didn’t get all that close. However, it was good enough. I like the expressions I managed to pull into the faces of C-3P0, Darth Vader and especially Yoda. The color palette here is running through all our “Star Wars” pieces through the next week.
