STRESS

The Japanese have a word for it: Takotsubo. It's when someone experiences stress to the point where it gives them heart problems. The name comes from the distended ventricle of the heart, which is what happens to someone suffering from Takotsubo. That ventricle becomes shaped like one of those little ceramic pots they use to catch octopi -- called a takotsubo.
