Portfolio images

For this project I received a number of general file photos depicting events and general summer fun. This one caught my eye because I thought it perfectly summed up that "Summer's finally here" feeling. I tried a technique I hadn't yet done before here, fading the background and then making it grayscale, importing the photo again into the text with a drop shadow and cutting out the girl and adding a drop shadow. I believe the effects helped this event calendar booklet stand out amongst the other sections in the paper that day.
