The 30th anniversary of the Los Angeles Olympics. How could I not do a page on this? Well, actually, it almost didn't happen -- mostly because I couldn't find decent art. The lead photo here wasn't quite what I wanted, but it was free -- a handout -- and it was in color. I cited five big talking points of the games. A sixth -- and perhaps the biggest -- I saved for another page that would run a couple of weeks later. July 28, 2014
