It was the 15th anniversary of JFK Junior's plane crash, plus a number of other anniversaries were right around the corner: The 45th anniversary of Chappaquiddick was in two days and the next month was the 70th anniversary of the death of the eldest Kennedy brother. I've seen all these tales, of course, but I've never seen them strung out on a timeline.
