I remember only too well when Skylab fell out of orbit. It was yet another embarrassment for the U.S. space effort. But Skylab was actually constructed in the McDonnell Douglas plant in Huntington Beach. So it seemed natural to note the 35th anniversary of Skylab's ignoble ending. All the images here are from NASA files -- even that big one up top. I had never seen that one before, so it delighted me to use it so large. July 11, 2014
