My second Further Review page was this one on “the Tiger effect” — When Tiger Woods does well in major golf tournament, TV ratings go way up. Which hasn’t really been much of a factor for several years. The folks at the paper asked for something on Woods, I found the TV ratings data and the page fell together nicely. We ran it on Wednesday, the day before the Masters began in Augusta. And the following Sunday, Tiger Woods won his first major tournament in 11 years. The timing make us look awfully smart.
