Folks at the University of Houston were shocked Monday when the Big 12 Conference elected not to expand at this time. Folks at UH have been spending big money on athletics, hoping to get the attention of the Big 12. In fact, the amount of money the university spends on athletics is the seventh largest amount in the nation. Numbers are from a database kept by USA Today.
