It was the 70th anniversary of the first German V-2 rocket attacks against Belgium, France and London. The man behind the V-2 moved to the U.S. after the war and developed a line of rockets that eventually put America on the moon in 1969. And big chunks of the Saturn V were built in Huntington Beach. It seemed like a fun idea to trace the development of Von Braun's work from the V-2 through the Redstone, Jupiter and Juno rockets to the Saturn series.
