I had this terrific idea for a special Memorial Day front page, honoring the 177 military people from this area — who we know about — who have lost their lives in armed conflicts going back to World War I. Unfortunately, flooding in the region knocked this off page one and onto A3. We know darned well there are folks not on this list, so we included a little blurb at the bottom right asking folks to send us names for next time.
