The Sons of Confederate Veterans want Texas to offer a special tag to honor their cause. The issue: Many folks consider the centerpiece of their logo — the Confederate battle flag — to be a symbol of racism and pushback by whites against the struggle for civil rights in the 1950s and 60s. Jessica Priest wrote a pro/con article and I designed this simple centerpiece around the proposed tag.
